So I am a gear-a-holic. I love MTB and I love MTB "stuff". I always find myself searching all of the closeouts and outlets to find cool stuff to try, and when I came across these on sale here, I was stoked! This was my first pair of TLD Skyline shorts, and definitely will be my go-to in the future. The material is a little thicker than some other MTB-specific shorts I have, but so far in the couple of rides I have used them on, they are not hot. They definitely feel more sturdy that others that I have, but I expect that will manifest in a bit less breathability. They are cut loosely, and easily fit knee pads underneath. I would venture to say the inseam on these are on the longer side of the spectrum, but they are by no means anywhere near "jorts". The zippers seem very sturdy, and the velcro waist adjustment is handy.I wear a 36 in "regular" pants, and after looking at the TLD website for a sizing guide, I decided to go with 38's. I have noticed a trend in MTB clothing that seems to run a size or two small in my experience. A 36 in Zoic is an XXL! I will say though that these seem to be very true to size. I find them a Little big, but I am able to cinch them up with the velcro adjustment, and I think I like the roomier feel of a slightly bigger size. I would be tempted to try a 36 if I ever find them in store, as it seems with these specific model of shorts, they are surprisingly accurately sized, BUT...The liner does seem to run "small". I could see how a size, say, 36 SHELL would be perfect, but a size 36 LINER would be too tight. I have also noticed this with other brands as well. It can pay to just buy the shell and liner separately if you run into this issue. All in all, I really like these, and would buy again without question.I haven’t worn these yet on the bike, but the fit is excellent. I’m 5’9” and weigh 175lbs and the 34 has an adjustable waist so you could probably fit them as a 35 waist also. They are light without being cheap, and like everything else bicycle related, you do sometimes get what you pay for. I have several Fox shorts, and the TLD appear as good, and fit a little better. I have large legs, and these aren’t tight, but don’t look baggy like most MTB shorts. The fit again is very good for riding, not too baggy and the liner pad doesn’t feel like your sitting on a sponge that moves like many shorts with a liner. I will say this: i also got a pair of Cycorld shorts and for the money those were pretty impressive. I didn’t get the liner in those because the cheap shorts always have horrible liners. Pair the Cycorld shell shorts with a padded liner or road bike shorties underneath and that’s a good way to go also. Shorts are subjective for riding, and fit is everything. I hope i can afford to keep the Troy Lee shorts, and i hope they hold up after many washings. The tag says $109.00, but I’d never pay that for them….Nice stretch fabric. Very good air flow. The only thing I don't like is the pockets.I bought these shorts for mountain biking of course! They are light weight and comfortable and ride well. I bought the shorts with the liner, which is also a help when sitting in the saddle for more than a quick ride. I am not one to use knee pads, just old fashion crash and burn, no Red Bull Rampage type stuff for me, but I think knee pads would fit comfortably with these shorts if you are more self protective than me. The only functional pockets are two zip pockets where you'd normally put your hands in the front of the shorts. I store my extra stuff in my little hydration pack/back pack so this works fine for me. If you want more pockets find some other shorts. I'd go with these again. Pretty comfy.Side velcro adjustments are too loose.I tend to have trouble finding shorts and pants that fit well - most items tend to be too tight in the seat or crotch area (makes it uncomfortable to sit down or squat). I tried several other pairs of MTB shorts (including Zoic, and POC), then gave up and wore basketball shorts for several years, until I found these! These Troy Lee skyline shorts fit perfectly, and don’t restrict my movement at all. They’re lighter and more comfortable than my basketball shorts, and don’t snag on the seat. I was a little hesitant due to the price tag, but these are well worth it.These are very average shorts, for a premium price. I sent mine back, as I can buy shorts of equal quality for less. I will admit that the less expensive shorts won’t have the TLD cool factor.Todo bien ??The shorts, especially the liner, were _much_ too small and not true to size. I've worn a Size 32 waist for over thirty years and I couldn't even pull the liners up to my waist. When I asked about a refund or an exchange for the next size up, I was told to return the shorts at my expense. Canada Post charged me $22 to return the shorts. Don't ever buy anything that you might need to return or exchange because you'll be expected to pay even if the mistake isn't yours.Calidad óptima como se esperaba de TLD. Bastante flexible y cómodo. No muy amplio, no muy reducido. Los colores se ven mejor en físico que la fotografía.
